Commit Selects Prodacapo's System for Cost Management and Scenario Planning
The Dutch company Commit is implementing Prodacapo software solutions for Activity-Based Costing/Management (ABC/M) and Business Planning to get accurate information about costs per service and for financial and operational scenario planning.
Commit is one of the leading occupational health and safety service companies in the Netherlands. The company, which has 800 employees and offices throughout the country, offers a broad range of services.
“Using the Prodacapo ABC/M solution we can identify our true costs per service, which isn't possible with our conventional financial system. This gives us better information for setting prices. We can also benchmark costs for providing the same services in different regions, allowing us to take action where needed,” says Sandra Corten, controller at Commit.
“Furthermore, after completing the first phase successfully—calculating cost prices—we can use the business planning solution for ‘what if' questions to test different scenarios,” says Corten.
To start with, Commit has implemented the Prodacapo ABC/M software.

We kept to the time schedule and are highly satisfied with the training and implementation support from the consulting firm CFO Consult and from CPM Solutions, the Prodacapo distributor in the Netherlands. Both have extensive and relevant knowledge, not only of the software but also of the ABC methodology in general. They have made us aware of pitfalls and provided us with pragmatic solutions to meet our specific needs, “says Corten.
“We also found the Prodacapo software solution to be very straightforward. It makes it easy to understand the steps in calculating cost prices using the ABC methodology. It's also extremely user-friendly and includes graphical interfaces, many standard reporting options, and excellent options for analyses,” says Corten in conclusion.
