The Environment Agency in the UK select Prodacapo software to support its efficiency programme
The Environment Agency in the UK has signed a deal with the Prodacapo distributor Bellis-Jones Hill Group to provide Prodacapo Activity Based Management software. The software will support the Agency's efficiency programme and help determine how resources can best be utilised to deliver environmental objectives.
The Environment Agency is the main environmental regulator in England and Wales responsible for protecting and improving the environment. The organisation's activities range from regulation of major industries to reducing flood risk.
To support the efficiency programme the Agency is undertaking an activity based costing (ABC) project to identify efficiency improvements and provide a baseline for change by provision of improved management information that can be fed back to operational managers.
“The ABC project will provide the key management information to better understand our business and underpin one of our major change programmes of ‘Sharpening Efficiency'”, says Julian Owens, Finance Consulting Manager for the Environment Agency. “So it was imperative that the project selected a software product that would support our overall objectives whilst also meeting our individual user requirements. The Prodacapo solution will enable us to identify efficiency opportunities, track their implementation and will therefore help us to deliver improved performance in the future to meet our objectives”.
“We are delighted to be working with The Environment Agency”, says Robin Bellis-Jones, Managing Director of the Bellis-Jones Hill Group. “Solutions such as Prodacapo clearly play a vital role in delivering the type of information large, complex organisation's such as the Environment Agency need to deliver results. We are looking forward to seeing Prodacapo support the Environment Agency in its efficiency initiatives”.
