SCA Hygiene Products implements Prodacapo ABC/M in 20 countries
The division Away From Home Tissue within SCA Hygiene Products has signed a contract for the Prodacapo software for ongoing Activity Based Costing / Management (ABC/M). The solution will be used throughout the sales and marketing organisation in Europe, all in all 20 countries, to further improve profitability.
SCA Hygiene Products is one of Europe's leading suppliers of tissue and fluff products for personal hygiene and other applications. The company have been using Prodacapo software solutions for ABC/M on ad hoc basis since 1995. The division Away From Home Tissue is now taking the use of Activity Based Costing / Management (ABC/M) one-step further and will provide management with ABC/M information every quarter.
“The Prodacapo software solution will allow us to more accurately measure the profitability and costs for customers, sales channels and articles than compared with traditional financial methods, and on an on-going basis. It will also allow us to measure and benchmark the performance of processes between different units and countries. The result will be better information for strategic and operational decisions and we are confident that the division will see an improvement in profitability,” says Gabriel Bennet, Vice President Controlling, SCA Hygiene Products, Division Away From Home Tissue.
The Prodacapo ABC/M software will become part of the management toolkit in SCA Hygiene Products for business performance improvement. The software solution will be integrated with their existing SAP and CRM systems and the implementation is estimated to take six months to complete.

The study confirmed the potential of using ABC/M information provided by the Prodacapo solution on a regular basis.
