About

The Swedish Social Insurance Administration oversees the country's financial safety net for Swedish citizens. The administration has 21 regions, 240 offices and 16,000 employees. Administrative costs are MUSD 600 per year.

 

Challenge

To improve management, planning and performance follow-up across the entire administration.

 

Solution

Every region has a Balanced Scorecard. The regions share goals and measures, while targets are set differently depending on local circumstances. At the national level the scorecard includes targets and performance for all regions, making it possible to compare the output of each region with the national average.

 

Results
