Prodacapo partner in Australia signs large contract with Sydney Water
Prodacapo today announced that its partner in Australia, ABM Systems, have signed a large contract with Sydney Water regarding supply of the complete Prodacapo software suite. The suite will be used by Sydney Water to improve enterprise performance.
Sydney Water is a State owned corporation providing drinking water and wastewater services to a market of nearly 4 million customers. The company has in excess of 3 650 employees and earns revenue in excess of USD 814 million annually.
The Prodacapo system will enable Sydney Water to achieve five major outcomes utilising ABC/M (activity-based costing / management) concepts:
1. Product and service delivery costs
2. Process costs
3. Capital and operating costs of infrastructure assets
4. Output budgeting
5. “What-if?” cost modelling capability for any scenario within the scope of Sydney Water's activities.
Sydney Water has extensive ABC analysis and experience developed through many prior projects. However, the selection of the Prodacapo solution now involves an enterprise-wide installation, encompassing all the operating and corporate divisions of Sydney Water. This is the first time that these concepts are expanded universally across the organisation.
Recognising the critical need to manage processes across the entire organisation has led Sydney Water to structure its business around core processes. This has resulted in a greater focus on process analysis and costing – one of the strengths of Prodacapo.
