Terminales Quimcos S.A selects Prodacapo
Terminales Quimcos S.A, a leading tank storage provider in the North-East of Spain, selects Prodacapo.
After having used activity based costing for several years it was time for Terminales Quimicos S.A. to bring ABC to a next level. The existing cost model was not enough and for that reason a more sophisticated tool was needed.
Terminales Quimicos S.A. is a Spanish service company involved in the reception, storage and subsequent dispatch of bulk liquid products. The basic function of the storage terminals located in the seaports of Barcelona and Tarragona is to fulfill the logistical needs of production and distribution companies by providing storage for raw materials and manufactured goods.
"We were looking for an activity based costing tool to help us embed the costing and pricing work in the whole organization" says Eduardo Sañudo de Sánchez, Financial Controller at Terminales Quimicos.
"So far the results of the activity based costing were positive but it has been perceived as a black box and the current tool does not have the feature to change this. Also the uploading process was not very efficient and time consuming. So we were in need of another tool to bring activity based costing to the next level."
After evaluating the software, Terminales Quimicos was sure to have found the solution
they were looking for.
